The National Weather Service issued a high wind warning for the Front Range mountains and foothills yesterday and it continues today. yesterday the strongest wind recorded in Colorado was near Pinecliffe, which is located about 15 miles southwest of Boulder. A trained storm spotter clocked a wind gust of 98 mph. Nearby Nederland saw winds over 70 mph on Wednesday.
