The quality of air we breathe in on a daily basis can vary.

The 2020 record-breaking wildfires that raged over Northern Colorado have caused Fort Collins to monitor the air quality over the city much closer in recent months.

According to the City of Fort Collins website, it is very important to monitor the local air quality year-round; during the summer, ozone and particles in the air from wildfires are primary concerns. However, winter weather patterns can also, and often do, create conditions for poor air quality.

The good news? It's simple to check the air quality ranking in our area on any given day.

First, follow this link that will take you to the Air Quality section of the City of Fort Collins website and click the button that says 'EPA Air Quality Data Forecast' (circled in red below):
