What Is ‘Call of Doodie Brown Ops’ in Fort Collins?
There are a lot of unique and quirky things that make Fort Collins a fun place to live in. I was catching up on some work at Wolverine Farm Publick House recently and when I walked out to my car I saw a sign that immediately grabbed my attention.
Fort Collins Call of Doodie
It takes a lot to get my attention these days, but this sign definitely did the trick.
The sign reminds pet owners to pick up after their pets. You would be surprised how often people 'forget'. Here is my big question: do they really forget? Probably not.
I do not have a dog, but I am incredibly thankful that signs are up around the city. Not picking up after your dog is lazy, gross, and inconsiderate.
I recently stepped in a pile of dog poo at City Park in Fort Collins. I got most of it off my shoe in the grass, but still, it is gross.
Fort Collins Is Having Fun, But Staying Informative
The mission of the city of Fort Collins is more than promoting being neighborly. They are specifically trying to eliminate pet waste and unhealthy bacteria from entering waterways. The city of Fort Collins says that pet waste is the third largest contributor to bacterial pollution.
The city of Fort Collins also has pet waste bagging stations across the city.
I am not a dog owner, but I have a lot of friends and family who are. They have their own pet waste bags that are attached to their dog's leashes.
They always make sure to clean up after their dog. It would help if you did the same.
