
Colorado Teen Busted Going Triple Digits in Work Zone
When was the last time you got pulled over by a police officer for speeding? For me, it has been a really long time, and I plan on keeping it that way. However, when I was a teen, I got pulled over a handful of times for speeding.

Needless to say, I learned my lesson. They were expensive lessons, too, because my parents made me pay those speeding tickets with my own money. One Colorado teenager is lucky to only have a few charges brought against him for speeding, because it could have been much worse.
Teen Caught Driving Over 100 MPH in Commerce City
On Monday afternoon, a Commerce City Police officer pulled over a 16-year-old for excessive speeding. The teen was busted driving at speeds over 100 miles per hour on Highway 2. The officer clocked the kid doing 105 miles per hour in a 35 mile per hour work zone.

The teen is currently facing charges of reckless driving and speeding. He was also cited for not having a driver's license and no insurance. Commerce City Police impounded the vehicle, but it could have been much worse for the teen.
A Dangerous Situation
The passenger in the vehicle was his 12-year-old brother. The Commerce City Police Department told KDVR that they could have charged the teen driver with child abuse for the dangerous situation. See the bodycam footage from the Commerce City Police Department below:
