Over the weekend, we did what thousands of other Northern Colorado residents did: we took our daughter to the Greeley Stampede carnival. For only $45, you can ride as many rides as you want for as long as you want.

But Murphy definitely had some favorites and some not-so-favorites. And by not so favorite, I mean the super pukers. For $45, we rode every ride multiple times, so here's the rundown on our favs and not-so-favs.

The Giant Slide

The giant slide is always a hit with my family. You just grab a piece of carpet, walk up the 12,000 steps, and slide down. For me, as a boring adult, this attraction is much more work than payoff, but to a kid like my 8-year-old, it means hours of fun.

We give this ride a 9 out of 10.

The Spooky Ghost Town

I seriously don't think this ride has changed since I rode it at the Greeley Stampede back in the 90s. But why change something that's worked for decades? Spooky but not too scary, this ride is fun for 95% of kids, but it's also largely based on what your kid is comfortable with.

Ghost Town is getting a 7 out of 10.

The Farres Wheel

A tried-and-true carnival classic, our daughter loves this ride because nothing is cooler than getting an eagle-eyed view of Greeley and the entire Stampede Park.

As long as you aren't afraid of heights. Or the slightest rocking sensation while incredibly high up, you'll love riding on the Ferris wheel.

We're going to give this one an 8 out of 10.

Yes, there are a ton more rides that may very well make you throw up, but I wanted to highlight rides the whole family can enjoy, and these were top of the list for us.
