Spring

26 days until Spring. Yup! The countdown is on for most of us. You snow-bunnies will just have to face it; warm weather is on the way and it's time to start thinking about those gardens and outdoor projects.

I can do a lot of things around the house; a real handy man, jack of all trades. But the one thing I won't, or can't do, scares me the most. Carpet! Where to buy it and who to install it? I think I could do it myself, but one mistake could be a very costly and/or ugly mistake.

'Parks and Recreation' has played host to a number of distinguished guest stars over five seasons, this year alone bringing the likes of Jason Schwartzman, 'SNL's' Jenny Slate, Newt Gingrich, Joe Biden, Lucy Lawless, ‘Breaking Bad‘s’ Jonathan Banks and Glenn Headly. But with rumors surrounding 'Parks and Recreation's' likely renewal for a sixth season, could the series tap its biggest guest star yet as Pawnee's Mayor? Could it be?  The one the "Birders" call the holy grail of sightings?  Probably not. Most likely not, because when it comes to birds I haven't a clue but I don't think I know what this bird is.  Can you help?

The smell of Spring is in the air...make no mistake about it.  With Spring comes a different thought process for many and some, believe it or not, are even depressed about the thought of nice warm weather.  Hard to believe I know, but it's true.  Not all of us "dig" Spring.  Me?  LOVE IT

I can't tell you how many times I have said that over the years, I never remember its Ash Wednesday, and I grew up with 'ashes'.

Do you know what today is? Groundhog day, yes! Bing, first shot right out of the box! Crazy as it is, the movie is one of my all time favorites-just think about it-reliving one day over and over again.
