The Nicest Thing Anyone Has Ever Said to the ‘New Me’
There have been so many incredible things that I have felt and heard since losing the equivalent of another human in weight. Aside from the joy and pride I feel and this smile that just won't leave my face, it is what others have said that has lifted me even higher and I want to say thank you for that.
Since losing 140 lbs with the help of my team at Benchmark Medical Group in Windsor and hitting my goal right before Thanksgiving, I am proud to say that I have stayed right at that weight for a month now. I have stayed within a couple pounds of that number every week and that makes me proud as well. Maintenance is happening and phase 2 is rocking.
Let's get back to those words I am hearing that make me feel better than anything. I have had many people walk past me and not know who I am. Being unrecognized may be the greatest compliment I could ever get. I have had a number of people say that wouldn't have known it was me if that hadn't recognized my grandkids or the rest of my family. I have always been proud of who I am and who I was but being the same person in a new shell is so cool. I love when you don't know who I am. So if you see me and tell me " I didn't recognize you"...know that you have given me the greatest compliment I could ever ask for. Life is amazing and I can't wait to see what I can do next year in my body.
