My Long Hair is Gone – See the Photographic Proof [PICTURES]

I swore I would never do it. I have had people ask me to do it for years but have always said it would never happen. I caved in but it was out of necessity. I had to cut off my long hair.

I loved my long hair and will grow it back but due to losing as much weight as I did, my hair lost it's life and energy. It is not uncommon for someone to go through hair loss after massive weight loss but I thought I had skated around it...Nope!

I used to have big thick Musfassa like hair but it was all dead and damaged so I had to cut it short. I know for most people this is not a short haircut but for a man who usually has hair halfway down his back, a shoulder length cut is like joining the service and getting buzzed. I told my bride that I felt like I looked like the guys in Metallica when they cut their hair and started to look like business men. I told her I used to look like I was in the band and now I look like the guys who does their books.

It will take me awhile to get used to and by then hopefully I will have a mane like a lion again. I used to think my hair held my power...I guess we will find out. This respectable look is rather uncomfortable to me.
