George Strait may have retired from major touring but he has made it clear he has not retired from making music. His new album 'Cold Beer Conversation' proves George still has a lot of great music left in him. This is by far his best album in ages. His voice, songwriting and song choices are in top form.

The album starts with a song called 'It Was Love' and it takes about 17 seconds before you feel like you have just put on your favorite jeans and boots and feel the comfort that only the voice of George Strait can bring. The infectious title cut follows and then the single 'Let It Go' which should have a been a huge hit but for some reason some radio people don't understand that people still want to hear King George and didn't play it.

This album will have you doing every dance step you know and feeling every emotion you have inside of you. Listen to 'Something Going Down' and you can hear Conway Twitty's ghost. I swear he would have cut this song. 'Take Me To Texas' makes you wish you were from Texas no matter where you are from. 'It Takes All Kinds' lets George get out his western swing as only he can do and 'Rock Paper Scissors' has a cool Gary Allan feel to it.

Your emotions will be touched by 'Everything I See' which feels like a tribute to George's father. We can all feel the loss in this beautiful song. From start to finish this is a great album and I recommend you get a Cold Beer Conversation started yourself.

Thank you George for a killer country record and for proving you are still the champ. Long live King George!
