In Colorado, it is not a secret that we are supposed to conserve water as much as we possibly can. Local municipalities, cities, and towns send out reminders in the mail, and others will email residents.

However, one Colorado water department decided to go a different route and create a parody video.

Denver Water Deploys Splashstreet Boys Again

Denver Water is no stranger to parody videos and even had one of its parodies go viral last year. In 2025, they decided to drop a new track and a new music video reminding residents of the city and county of Denver to switch lawn watering and irrigation times to certain days of the week, depending on where you live in the city of Denver.

Why the Video Matters: Addressing Water Demand Peaks

Denver Water says that most irrigation systems default to the main sprinkler clocks that run before dawn on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Doing this creates spikes in water usage across the city and county of Denver and can cause strain on Denver's water system.

We've talked publicly about this issue for a while now, but we haven't seen the results we need to alleviate pressures on our system. So, we decided to call in some reinforcements to sing and dance the message into people's minds... Switch your irrigation close to Tuesdays and Thursdays and help take care of your water system.

Denver Water's manager of demand planning told 9 News. Check out the video that was released by Denver Water this week below:
