5 Best Smells To Wake Up To
I'm a huge fan of breakfast food, so anything from pancakes and waffles to sausages and eggs and coffee are a beautiful smell to wake up to (they're great smells to be drunk to, too, in my opinion).
In a survey conducted by OnePoll, the top 5 best smells to wake up to according to 2,000 respondents in July 2015 have been revealed. They are as follows.
What's your favorite smell to wake up to?

40% of survey respondents said fresh-brewed coffee is the best smell to wake up to. I have to agree! Actually, coffee is probably the best smell for day and night, be it in the form of real coffee, soap, lip balm, or Yankee candle.

19% of survey respondents said new sheets are the best smell to wake up to. I think that's kind of a weird, random smell to notice, but I think crisp, new sheets are one of the best things to feel when you wake up. Mmmm laundry!

12% of survey respondents said pine is the best smell to wake up to. Whether from a tree, candle, bottle of Febreze, or otherwise, I personally think pine is a scent you should only use around the holidays. It's kind of like pumpkin spice and cinnamon apple...those scents should only be experienced in the fall/winter. Cake batter is year-round, though.

4% of survey respondents said toasted bread is the best smell to wake up to. This number needs to be higher, people! Toast is amazing.

3% of survey respondents said orange juice is the best smell to wake up to. Again, this number needs to be higher. Also, I find it disturbing that most photos in my search for "orange juice" were of O.J. Simpson. The smell of death is something I definitely wouldn't want to wake up to.
