Too Many People in Colorado Want a Break From Their Partner
Life is hard, and sometimes we all wish we could take a break. Everyone has times they need to escape, have some time alone, unwind, and get away from everyone. This can include taking a nap, a shower, reading a book, or listening to relaxing music. Typically, the person you don't want to take a break from is your partner. They are supposed to be the person who comforts you and makes things better, but at times, they can also be the reason you need a break and to escape for a bit. The number of people in Colorado taking breaks from their partners may surprise you, but how are they doing so?
Taking a Break From Your Partner in Colorado
We all need some alone time every so often, and for some, it isn't easy to find this time. When it comes to being alone, is it ok to take a break from your partner and escape for a bit? According to a recent survey from the new Freeman Recovery Center study, out of 1000 adults surveyed, one in four admitted to needing a daily break from their spouse, although 22 percent said that doing so has created emotional distance between them and their partner. Are you someone who needs a daily break? Having some time to unwind each day is one thing, but walking away and secluding yourself and not talking to your partner can also lead to issues, forcing you to need that break or wanting one longer than an hour or two.
Why Coloradoans Need a Break From Their Partners
Why do people need a break from their loved ones? According to the survey, 29 percent say they feel underappreciated at home and need some time alone, and 54 percent say that during this time alone, they scroll through social media to decompress. This can work negatively: if they feel underappreciated and alone, they may look for someone to talk to instead of their spouse. While some use the time to relax and decompress, 1 in 3 Gen Z said they use alone time to cry. Some need alone time and to escape work, and shockingly, 50 percent admitted to lying about health reasons as to why they need to skip a day in the office. Have you ever needed to escape your partner or work, and if so, what was your excuse?

We all need time to ourselves to rest, to recharge, or to settle down, but there are healthy ways to do so and unhealthy ways. Make sure you are not trying to escape those who love you and want to help you. If you need alone time, you are not the only one seeking it in Colorado.
