Summer is almost over, but that doesn't mean we have to hunker down inside just yet. It also doesn't mean that you have to go spend a bunch of money, or any money at all doing something fun. A short drive up the Poudre Canyon with the inner tube of a tire makes for a few hours of free fun in the sun.

Hot weekend temperatures across Northern Colorado have caused the National Weather Service to issue a Flood Advisory for area rivers. Drive through Weld County near the Poudre and you'll find barricades ready for use in case high water causes road closures.
The Larimer County Sheriff's Office will hold a public meeting for Laporte area residents to discuss preparations for flooding which forecasts indicate will likely occur as a result of record snowpack and anticipated high spring runoff. The meeting will be held tonight (Wednesday, June 1st) at 6:30 p.m. at the Cache La Poudre Elementary School located at 3511 West County Road 54G in Laporte.
