Mudslide Closes Poudre Canyon Monday Morning

A mudslide has closed part of Poudre Canyon in Larimer County this morning.
The Colorado State Patrol said it got the call about a mudslide blocking Highway 14 at about 5:45 a.m. Officials do not know if any cars were hit by the slide at this time.
Highway 14 is closed at mile marker 115. That’s six miles west of Ted’s Place. The High Park burn area in Larimer County is susceptible to flooding because wildfires have damaged the vegetation, ruining the land’s ability to absorb water.
