High Park Fire Disaster Recovery Center Closing Friday, July 6th
The Larimer County’s High Park Fire Disaster Recovery Center, on the CSU campus, will close tomorrow on (Friday, July 6th at 4p.m.) The DRC has seen over 1500 people come through the Center since opening on June 15th, with over 600 individual households checked-in and over 250 households visiting the center more than once.

When I left for work early yesterday morning from Fort Collins, you could smell the smoke in the air from the Hewlett Fire, which has burned over 982 acres. When I arrived home from work in the early afternoon you could see giant plumes of smoke. It wasn't long before you could see it, smell it, taste it, & feel it!
Larimer County Extends Fire Restrictions on Open Fires & Fireworks
The Hewlett Fire, burning in the Poudre Canyon west of Fort Collins, shows just how dry it is right now. Those dangerous conditions have prompted Larimer County Commissioners to extend fire restrictions on open fires, the use of fireworks, and public fireworks displays through June 15th.
