The Larimer County Department of Health and Environment announced yesterday that a skunk found close to the foothills west of Fort Collins tested positive for rabies. The skunk was tested both locally and by the CDC in Atlanta and confirmed to have the skunk variant of rabies, the first time this type of rabies has been confirmed in a populated area of Larimer County.

March 14, 2012 A wildfire burned over 300 acres near the Cobb Lake State Wildlife Area yesterday. Kama first reported yesterday afternoon that the fire was out of control at Larimer County Roads 3 and 56 . We now have pictured of the blaze thanks to the Poudre Fire Authority.
March 9, 2012 Susan Moore 1st reported the crash of a small plane crash in Larimer County yesterday afternoon. The crash happened near County Road 5 and County Road 40. We now have pictures of that crash thanks to Poudre Fire Authority.
