Brian and I were at the Budweiser Events  Center last night as the Eagles defeated the Ontario Reign 3-1  in their season home finale. Colorado will wrap up their first regular season in the ECHL with a pair of games Friday & Saturday in Las Vegas. Tickets are on sale now for the Eagles 1st round playoff games, but we still don't know who they will play.

Have you been to store to shop for body soap lately? Holy cow what an adventure! How many scents and silkening agents does one man need? I stood in front of the rows and rows of soaps with my jaw on the ground in blank stare confusion.

It was a very special Teacher Tuesday Yesterday.  We had not one, but 2 winners!  Mrs. Judy Parks & Mrs. Mary Swanson are this week's Co-Teacher Tuesday Winners. Mrs. Parks is the Media Assistant and Mrs. Swanson is the Media Specialist at Wellington Middle School in Wellington!

Watching the  Decorah Eagles has become all the rage. Millions of people are watching around the world. The Mommy and Daddy eagles had 3 eggs in their nest earlier this week.  Now at least two of those eggs have hatched.  We have the live video stream for you thanks to  The Raptor Resource Project. The Decorah Eagles webcam is located in a tree at the fish hatchery in Decorah, Iowa.

Trying to decide whether to let you heart or your brain talk can be a battle. I have no problem speaking from the heart. I trust my heart and in many situations can just let it take over and run the show. If I am speaking at a fundraiser or in a school or any setting of public speaking I let my heart talk. If I am writing an email or letter, I need my brain.

Last week we had, in my mind, the most successful 28 Hours of Hope in its 14 year history. We raised nearly $75,000 to help abused children and Northern Colorado. I am a people pleaser. I like to make people happy and if they are mad at me or upset with me, I really struggle. I believe the reason I let so few people into my life to really know me is because I fear the more people I let in, the more people I have a chance to let down. Brian and I are very fortunate to have so many friends with incredible talent and unbelievable hearts.  TheArtist Kelsie is a brilliant artist from Denver, who also has an enormous heart.  She so graciously volunteered to create an original work of art for our 14th annual 28 Hours of Hope.

I am an odd dude and it has taken me many years to figure out how to live with me and not go crazy. I am a complex, difficult and quirky man. I have to lie to myself every morning to get myself out of bed. I tell myself that I will rest later and get a nap if I get up now and go to work without complaining...
