This week our Teacher Tuesday presentation took us to Roosevelt High School in Johnstown.  Our winner this week was Mr. Brent Hopkins, who is the Vo Ag Teacher and FFA Adviser.  Mr. Hopkins was nominated by 5 different students, so we knew he was the right choice.

It seems like everyone I know is going through a tough stretch lately. There seems to be more and more pressure and less and less happiness. I firmly believe happiness is a conscious decision but sometimes life puts so much in front of you that is hard to make that decision. I know I have had a rough stretch lately. My wife is leaving her job and looking for a new one because of the lack of joy in the workplace. I have had many professional friends throw in the towel because of increased work pressure. It seems like I have been trapped in the opposite of Disneyland.

Companionship is one of the most important things in life. We all need people around us. I love my alone time but sharing life with friends and family is what makes it is all about. Many times in our lives we find ourselves alone when we could really use some friendship. My grandfather once said "in order to have friends you need to be friend." He also used to say "flibbity flew and 21 skidoo" too so he didn't always make sense but the friend thing does.

Over the weekend I had the pleasure of having Denver Bronco Mitch Unrein in the studio. Mitch is an Eaton High School grad who played his college ball in Wyoming. It is so cool to see a local boy achieve his dream.

Over the weekend I headed up to Rocky Mountain National Park to take some pictures! I stopped at Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory in Estes Park on my way up to buy some Avalanche. It's become a time-honored tradition!

One of my favorite show on TV is Undercover Boss. This is the show where a big shot from the home office comes and does the every day job of the workers to see what is like in the work place. I wish every corporate executive was mandated to do this.

Our buddy Josh was helped by a Shriners' Hospital when he was a little guy.  We are so proud that now he is paying it forward. Josh is working toward becoming a Shriner himself. The El Jebel Shrine Circus is in Denver this weekend and proceeds from the circus go directly to the hospitals to help people like Josh!
