UNC Men Picked 3rd in Preseason Media Poll
The Big Sky Conference preseason Men's Basketball polls are out, and the defending champion UNC Bears are not favored to repeat. Northern Colorado has been picked to finish 3rd in the media poll, and 4th in the preseason coaches poll. Weber State was the top pick in both polls.
Montana, which lost to Northern Colorado in the 2011 Big Sky Championship, was a solid No. 2 selection in both polls. Montana earned one first-place vote in the coaches’ poll and 56 total points. Wayne Tinkle’s Grizzlies received four first-place votes from the media and 193 total points.
The UNC Bears open their 2011-2012 season on November 12th at home against New Mexico State.
