QB Dylan McCaffrey Transfers To Northern Colorado
A former Broncos legend and his son will be on the same field together when the University of Northern Colorado football team eventually play football again. Head Coach Ed McCaffrey and his son Dylan who just transferred from Michigan will be teaming up when the Bears take the field again.
According to a tweet by Dylan, he is set to continue his academic and athletic college career in Greeley.
Dylan started his college career playing for Jim Harbaugh and the Michigan Wolverines in 2018 but a collarbone injury sidelined him and he opted out of the 2020 season. Michigan's loss is our gain as now, we get to watch this great father/son combo locally at UNC.
While playing high school ball down at Valor, Dylan led his team to state title game in all four season with titles coming in 2013, 2015 and 2016.
Dylan's brother is NFL star Christian McCaffery, who has scored 29 touchdowns in playing 51 games for the Carolina Panthers.
Ed played in 13 NFL seasons with the Giants, 49ers and Broncos. During his nine seasons in a Broncos uniform, Ed made 462 catches for 6,200 yards and 46 touchdowns.
Ed took the UNC head coaching position last winter but has yet to coach a game as the Bears skipped the fall season this year because of the pandemic.
