UNC Men’s Basketball Game Against CSU Canceled Due To COVID-19
A non-conference men's basketball game between the UNC Bears and the CSU Rams has been canceled.
UNC was scheduled to play CSU at 7 p.m. on Tuesday Feb. 16 in Fort Collins.
According to the Greeley Tribune, the UNC athletic department announced the Feb. 16 game against the Rams would not be played on Monday evening (Feb. 8), along with two Big Sky Conference games that were set for later this week.
The Bears’ Big Sky games against Sacramento State on Feb. 11 in Greeley and on Feb. 13 in Sacramento have also been called off.
The UNC men's basketball program has now cancelled six of its scheduled games in a row - dating back to Jan. 31 - due to COVID-19.
A release from the UNC athletic department stated that the canceled Big Sky Conference will not be rescheduled at this time.
UNC has had nine games cancelled this year, but the Bears are scheduled to resume their season on Thursday Feb. 25 at home against Portland State at 7 p.m.
