Ice Castles Attraction Could Be Coming Back to Colorado – In Estes Park?
If you've eve checked out Ice Castles, you know is a "must-see" attraction when it comes to your area. It used to go to Dillon, but now, it may be Estes Park's next big thing.
This is going to be great if it does come to fruition. The Este Park Trail Gazette has the news that Visit Estes Park had its monthly meeting recently, and the CEO of the local marketing district mentioned that the town is in the running to for Ice Castles.
We let you know in September of 2021, that Dillon would not be hosting Ice Castles for the 2021-2022 season; now, the next time it comes to Colorado it could actually be in beautiful Estes Park. How great would that be? It's so close, it would be (depending on the weather) to get up their with visiting friends and family to check it out.

Currently, Ice Castles website lists Minnesota, New Hampshire, New York, Utah, and Wisconsin as locations. I'm eager to see "Colorado" back on that list.
What Is Ice Castles?
According to their site:
Ice Castles is an award-winning frozen attraction located in five cities across North America. The experience is built using hundreds of thousands of icicles hand-placed by professional ice artists. The castles include breathtaking LED-lit sculptures, frozen thrones, ice-carved tunnels, slides, fountains and much more.
The Este Park Trail Gazette states that Visit Estes Park won't know the Ice Castles' decision could be coming before July of 2022; they would be putting it at MacGregor Ranch. Let's keep our fingers crossed that this does happen.
