Major Thanksgiving Snowstorm Expected Tonight in Northern Colorado
Earlier this month, there were predictions that we were not supposed to get any snow in Northern Colorado on Thanksgiving day. Make sure to plan ahead because that is expected to change.
Snow is coming to Fort Collins, Loveland, Greeley, and most of Northern Colorado, right as most of us will be together with family and friends at the Thanksgiving table.
According to 9News, snow will be coming to Northern Colorado this evening. Many parts of Colorado will be hit with snow too.
When The Snow Will Arrive
The snow will arrive in Northern Colorado as soon as 6:00 p.m. today and it will stick around for a few days. This is what 9News says.
The snow will probably be heaviest overnight Thursday into Friday. During the day Friday, it'll mostly be a lighter snow that could linger into early Saturday.
Other Parts of Colorado
The snow is predicted to stay around for most of the weekend, but will not affect your commute Monday morning. Expect to see snow in the Denver metro area tonight as well as Boulder.
Traffic Was Already Predicted to be Horrible
Thanksgiving traffic will be intense this year. Before the snowstorm was a topic of conversation, experts predicted that Thanksgiving traffic will be the worst in 20 years. Over 55 million Americans will be traveling to see their loved ones for the holiday.
So if traffic is already projected to be worse than ever, it is crucial to know that the snowstorm will make it even worse.
Happy Thanksgiving.
Make sure to plan ahead and drive carefully tonight.
