CSU Fires Head Coach Jay Norvell After Homecoming Loss

Last year, we shared with you that Head Coach Jay Norvell got the boot less than 24 hours after a devastating loss during homecoming.

In a statement from CSU’s Athletic Director John Weber, Norvell was described as , “… a leader of the highest character who cares deeply about developing his players as athletes, students, and young men.”

CSU Rams Hire Jim Mora as New Head Coach

Former CSU Coach Jay Norvell Returning to Iowa Football Staff

According to various reports, Norvell is heading back to where it all began for him: Iowa.

The former CSU coach will be heading out to the Hawkeye State as the team's newest offensive analyst. Norvell played at Iowa and started coaching there decades ago.

During his time playing for the Hawkeyes, the team won 35 games over the course of his four seasons.
