Northern Colorado Kids Can Read Their Way To Free Stuff This Summer
I love reading so much. Naturally, when I had kids, I just assumed they would love reading too. I was wrong. Luckily, there are some pretty great summer reading programs in Northern Colorado to keep them in the game.
Did you know that you can still sign your kid up for the Pizza Hut reading program? It's called BOOK IT! and it's magical nostalgia. Simply download the BOOK IT! app and start setting summer reading goals for your kid. Once they hit the goal, they get free personal pan pizza, and nothing tastes better than pizza you earn by reading. You can find more info and how to sign up at bookitprogram.com.
Library locations in Fort Collins are offering their Summer Adventure program, featuring fun activities for kids and teens, prizes, and family bingo cards. You can visit the Council Tree Library or the Harmony Library to sign up, or find all the info at poudrelibraries.org.
Barnes & Noble locations are offering a kids' summer reading program that sounds pretty cool. All your child has to do is keep a reading journal, and they can cash it in for a free book at the end of the summer. Details at barnesandnoble.com.
High Plains library districts serving Greeley, Windsor, and the surrounding areas are offering up their Summer Reading Adventure program. Parents can track their child's reading through the Beanstalk app and earn prizes all summer long. Details on the reading program can be found at this North Forty News article.
So avoid the summer slide in 2026 and check out these Northern Colorado summer reading programs that will keep your kid excited to read.
