A popular longtime Denver television news anchor has announced that in early 2016, he'll be in front of the television camera for the last time.

Longtime anchor Mark Koebrich will be hanging up the microphone after being with KUSA TV Channel 9 for 35 years. According to the Denver Business Journal, a press release put out by the station called Koebrich "legendary" after starting with the station in 1981 working as both an anchor and a reporter.

He was on the scene for many Super Bowls and Olympics throughout the years, and hosted "Good Afternoon Colorado" in the early 90's.

Koebrich can be seen on the "Four O'Clock at 9News" until early 2016.
