High School Graduation Rates in Northern Colorado
Soon high school seniors will be making that big walk to get their diploma and toss their caps into the air as they close out the chapter known as high school. Some will head off to college. Others will start a career. However, a percentage of high school students never graduate. Recent reports show the graduation rates of all the districts in Colorado.
Things are looking up when it comes to the graduation success rates. In an article in the Denver Post, the on time graduation success rate is at a six year high in 2016. The 2015 graduation rate was 77.3 percent and 2016’s rate was 78.9 percent.
How did Northern Colorado do in 2016 compared to 2015?
- Thompson R2-J 2016 rate 79.4up from 77.5 in 2015
- Eaton RE-2 2016 rate 92.8 down from 95.7 in 2015
- Estes Park R-3 2016 rate 92.4 up from 90.2 in 2015
- Greeley 6 2016 rate 77.1 down from 76.9 in 2015
- Johnstown-Milliken RE5-J 2016 rate 86.2 up from 82 in 2015
- Poudre R-1 2016 rate 81.4 up from 78.6 in 2015
- Weld County RE-1 2016 rate 80.5 down from 84 in 2015
- Weld County RE-8 2016 rate 74.1 down from 79.9 in 2015
- Weld County RE-3J 2016 rate 80 down from 81.3 in 2015
- Windsor Re-4 2016 rate 90.6 up from 89.4 in 2015
The most notable were these school district’s success rate from the previous year:
Vilas RE-5 graduation rate was at 100%. Up from only 11.1% the previous year.
Woodlin R-104 also had a 100% graduation rate, up from 66.7% in 2015.
