Phase 2 on construction of stormwater improvements to relieve ponding along Wilson Avenue begins December 23.

Traffic will shift to one lane in each direction in the southbound lanes along Wilson Avenue north of the Eighth Street intersection, according to a City of Loveland press release.

Phase 2 requires hand-tunneling a large pipe 24 feet under the Big Barnes ditch to bring it just north of the intersection, and once the work is complete on Wilson, crews will install a stormwater pipe west along Eighth Street to eliminate a temporary neighborhood detention pond.

Construction will be completed by Feb. 1, 2020, and work along Wilson and Eighth Street will continue until April 1, 2020.
