Denver Airport To Get Major Makeover: 3 Exciting Changes
Denver International Airport is constantly changing and evolving to keep up with massive demand. We recently reported that more cell phone chargers will be available at the gates.
We were excited about that, but we had no idea that far bigger upgrades were in store for the nation's largest airport.
It seems silly to think back on how excited I was about the new cell phone chargers and how I believed that was bringing us into the new age.
There is a lot more in store for Denver International Airport. Here are the three biggest changes we will be seeing soon.
#3 - Four New Concourses
Denverite says that Denver International Airport expects 120 million passengers per year by 2045. To keep up with that demand DIA will need to build four new concourses. A concourse is a building that allows you to get to your gate. So there will be more buildings
You know how when you go to DIA you ride a light rail to gates A, B, or C? It sounds like there will now be a D, E, F, and G.
#2 - Expanded Terminals and More Gates
Since there will be more concourses there will be more gates and more flights at Denver International Airport by 2045. This means that more restaurants, gift shops, and space will be available.
#1 - Innovative Infrastructure
Denverite says that the airport will also be making major upgrades to its appearance. New bathrooms, carpeting, and rental car facilities will be in the works.
An Important Note About These Upgrades
As you have probably noticed, Denver International Airport is constantly undergoing changes and upgrades. This is simply their goal to accomplish by 2045.
