CSU Volleyball Team Makes 22nd NCAA Tournament in a Row
The CSU Rams volleyball team has made it to the NCAA tournament for the 22nd year in a row. In fact, no player on the current roster was even born the last time Colorado State didn't make it to the tournament.
CSU will open the tournament on Friday against Kentucky in Seattle, Washington. The winner of Friday's match will play the winner of Washington and Texas A&M Corpus-Christi.
The Rams have competed in the NCAA Tournament every season since 1995, and 27 times overall prior to 2016. Under Hilbert, CSU is 19-19 in the NCAA Tournament, including six ‘Sweet 16’ appearances. The Rams have won 13 of 20 first-round matches during Hilbert's tenure.
Big Day for Mountain West
Boise State won the Mountain West, so they earned an automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament. UNLV was awarded an at-large bid, which gives the conference three teams in the tournament.
