5 Slowest Fort Collins Fast Food Restaurant Drive-Thrus
We have plenty of options for fast food and fast drinks throughout the city of Fort Collins, but you need to prepare yourself for a long wait at some city locations.
I was thinking of this idea for a blog as I waited in line at one location the other morning for a coffee. And yes, that location is listed below.
Here's the thing: I don't blame the below locations or their staff for the reasons for the slowdowns. Some of it has to do with the popularity of the business. While another reason may be where it's actually located in the city.
However, these "fast food" spots still can make you wait a while for the food that you ordered. Here are five that we generally hear the most about when it comes to a wait. Who else would you add to this list? Let us know below!
- 1
Taco Bell (West Elizabeth)
When I asked the question about the slowest drive thru lanes in this office, the Taco Bell on West Elizabeth was a consensus #1. As one person stated, it's location is right near Colorado State University. Combine that with late night munchie runs, well there are many people wanting their tacos and chalupas at this location. Making the way EXTRA LONG.
- 2
Taco Bell (South College Avenue)
I don't think I could've found a better picture than what you see here with the Taco Bell on South College. Looks like the Google street view car found one of those moments where people are waiting in line for a long time. I don't think I have ever driven past this Taco Bell without seeing the line this long.
- 3
Culvers (South Lemay)
I agree with the suggestion of adding this Culvers to the list. However, I have to stress again that I don't think this has ANYTHING to do with the staff there. It's just in a great location, and it's CULVERS. Everyone wants their cheese curds! It usually doesn't matter what the time of day is though. You usually have to pull up and wait.
- 4
Consuelos Express (South Lemay)
The food is really good, but there never has been a moment where I've been able to use the word "express" to describe the drive-thru at Consuelos. If you are going there for a breakfast burrito, make sure you give yourself plenty of time if you need to be at work. Most days the wait is worth it, but better be prepared.
- 5
Starbucks (Timnath)
First off, let me say that I am a regular customer of this Starbucks. And the waits haven't dissuaded me from stopping there in the morning. But there have definitely been moments (and most of them recently) where the drive-thru line has been between 6-10 minutes. Again, this has NOTHING to do with the staff as they are always friendly and helpful. This choice on here has to do with their great location off of the interstate, along with...well...it's Starbucks.
