Taco Bell is one of the most popular fast food chains in America. The prices are good, the food is good, and they are open late, which is great when you get the munchies late at night. Taco Bell has made many changes through the years, many additions and subtractions to the menu, and continues to set the standard for fast food Mexican food. Most Taco Bells look the same and have the standard logo and colors, but one Taco Bell in Fort Collins is unlike any you will find elsewhere.

There are many Taco Bells in Northern Colorado, and the majority of them look the same, like your common Taco Bell, that you will find anywhere in the country. There is one Taco Bell, though, in the area that might be the most unique one in the country. Located at 1530 S College Avenue in Fort Collins is what looks like a normal house, but is in fact a Taco Bell. Unless you look at it and see the sign, you may not realize you are driving past a place to get fast food. While the outside looks different, what about the inside?

When you step inside the Taco Bell house, you will see some things you have never seen in a Taco Bell. The bathrooms, the counter, and the menu look like most Taco Bells, but the seating area does not. In the middle of the store is a fireplace, which most Taco Bells do not have. Chandeliers are hanging above some of the wooden tables, and all of the tables are made of wood. If you didn't look at the counter and walked in, nothing looks like your standard Taco Bell. It feels more like a nice restaurant instead of a fast food chain. This home has been a Taco Bell since 1993, having served Fort Collins for 33 years. The home was built in 1930 and was set to be demolished at one time, but the Taco Bell next door was knocked down, and instead, the home was remodeled to become a Taco Bell.
