10 Reasons to Be Thankful You Live in Colorado

Not only did Colorado score high rankings for having some of the healthiest communities in the country, but we are also home to many amazing hospitals that keep Coloradans feeling the best they can every single day.

From elementary schools to colleges and universities, Colorado is filled with top-notch educational opportunities. Earlier this year, two Fort Collins schools were nationally recognized for their overall academic excellence and the top five Colorado colleges/universities are right in our backyard.

Coloradans are lucky enough to get a taste of all four seasons, and we definitely take full advantage! Winter is all about skiing, snowboarding and skating at the beautiful mountain resorts, spring is stocked with fishing trips, summer is great for swimming, hiking and biking, and finally, does it get more gorgeous than fall in Colorado?

Time and time again, Colorado makes it on the lists for being one of the "Best Places to Raise a Family," and we can totally understand why. On the opposite end of the spectrum, it's the 2nd best state for retirees too.

There's a reason so many people choose Colorado as their vacation destination – we're fun! Our state was ranked as being one of the top ten most fun states to visit earlier this year, based on things like the number of national parks, restaurants, nightlife, movie theaters, and fitness centers.

Whether your traveling to or from Colorado out of the Denver International Airport, it's a good feeling to know that we have the best airport in the entire country. That's quite an accomplishment out of so many!

Mountain lions, bears, moose, elk...there's tons of unique animals that can be found all over Colorado, and sometimes, they even show up right in your own backyard.

How lucky are we to have so many fabulous venues around our state? From intimate theaters to nationally-recognized places like Red Rocks, bands and musicians of all genres love coming to play shows in Colorado, and we love having them!

When it comes to the safest cities in America, many in Colorado repeatedly make the list. Colorado doesn't rank nearly as high as other states in areas of property crimes and violent crimes.

Beer of all kinds flows through the state of Colorado. From smaller craft breweries like Funkwerks, to the bigger, nationally-known ones like Coors, we're thankful for the opportunity to get to try them all!
