Sometime when we walk into a classroom to make a Teacher Tuesday Presentation, we know immediately that we have made the right choice. That was the case yesterday when Brian and I presented the award to Mrs. Debbie Bangs, a 1st/2nd Grade Teacher at University Schools in Greeley.

It was a very special Teacher Tuesday Yesterday.  We had not one, but 2 winners!  Mrs. Judy Parks & Mrs. Mary Swanson are this week's Co-Teacher Tuesday Winners. Mrs. Parks is the Media Assistant and Mrs. Swanson is the Media Specialist at Wellington Middle School in Wellington!

Project Smile is an organization that means a great deal to me. That's because one of the 1st times I ever visited a dentist, I had 17 cavities.  It's no fun.  It's also hard to learn when you are in pain.   Project Smile's  goal is to provide vision and dental care for ALL eligible at-risk children in Poudre R-1 Schools. There is no better feeling than getting in front of a group of kids and having them listen to you read them a story. Anyone skimming the news regarding an announcement that Colorado Governor Hickenlooper is tightening the budget belt can see that schools may be hit hard and a prison may be closed, but what lies under the surface.  Is this the beginning of the end or is this exactly what the state, if not the country needs.
