The Colorado State University and Fort Collins communities will celebrate Martin Luther King, Jr. Day with several events on Monday, January 21st. The theme of this year's celebration is “Faces of Freedom: Past, Present, Future.”
I love living in Fort Collins. I love going going downtown, especially during the holidays. That's when the Christmas lights are all lit and it really does look spectacular. Those lights will be lit for the season very soon.
The 11th Annual Realities Ride & Rally is underway! The Rally goes till 11 tonight in Old Town Fort Collins. The ride is tomorrow morning (Sunday, May 27th) beginning at Thunder Mountain Harley Davidson and ending up in Old Town Square. I took a few photos at the rally this afternoon.
If You have been in Old Town Fort Collins lately you have probably noticed some very brightly colored pianos scattered about. They are part of the Pianos About Town program. I went in search of these pianos last night with the mission to play a little tune on each of them. I did manage to play 4 of the pianos. My wife captured video of three of those performances.
I think we can all agree that the holiday lights that get hung in Old Town Fort Collins are beautiful. Even if you ‘bah-humbug’ the Christmas season, you have to admit that those lights give a magical feel to the area.
But are all those pretty lights worth $75,000? Without funding there might be no lights in Old Town this Christmas.
Santa's workshop opened for business over the weekend in Old Town Square in downtown Fort Collins. Kids can visit Santa Wednesdays through Sundays between Noon and 6pm. A professional photographer will be on hand to capture those unforgettable moments with Santa.
