I love living in Fort Collins.  I love going going downtown, especially during the holidays.  That's when the Christmas lights are all lit and it really does look spectacular.  Those lights will be lit for the season very soon.

The Christmas lights in downtown Fort Collins will be lit during an official ceremony on Friday, November 2nd. The evening begins at 6:00 pm in Oak Street Plaza with music, cookies, and hot cocoa.  Then at 6:30 pm Mayor Karen Weitkunat will address the crowd and “throw the switch” to turn on all lights in downtown.

You can enjoy the holiday lights from anywhere along College Avenue beginning at Laporte Avenue and continuing to Magnolia Street. Trees will be lit along Walnut Ave, Linden St., Pine St., Old Town Square, Oak Street Plaza, and Mountain Ave.

This year’s lighting display will be in place from November 2nd - February 14th.

Funding partners of this year’s Downtown holiday lights are The Downtown Development Authority, The Downtown Fort Collins Business Association and The City of Fort Collins.
