Colorado Eagles

We now know who the Colorado Eagles will play in the 1st round of the playoffs. The Eagles will meet the Idaho Steelheads in the Western Conference Quarterfinals of the 2014 ECHL Kelly Cup Playoffs.

The Budweiser Events Center is a busy place. Last weekend employees transformed the venue from a hockey arena to a basketball court for the Harlem Globetrotters to another sold-out Colorado Eagles hockey game to an indoor football arena.

The Colorado Eagles were eliminated in the 1st round of the ECHL Playoffs last night by the Stockton Thunder.  The Thunder beat the Eagles  4-2 Friday night at the Budweiser Events Center, sweeping their best-of-five Western Conference Quarterfinals series three games to none.

The Colorado Eagles lost to the Las Vegas Wranglers 6-4  last night in Vegas, but it didn't matter.  The Eagles  wrapped up a playoff spot long ago.  Now we know who the Eagles will play in the 1st round of the ECHL Kelly Cup Playoffs.

Brian and I were at the Budweiser Events  Center last night as the Eagles defeated the Ontario Reign 3-1  in their season home finale. Colorado will wrap up their first regular season in the ECHL with a pair of games Friday & Saturday in Las Vegas. Tickets are on sale now for the Eagles 1st round playoff games, but we still don't know who they will play.

Colorado Eagles assistant coach and former player, Greg Pankewicz was fed up with a bad call over the weekend, so he threw his clothes on the ice.  It even made Sportscenter on ESPN. Thanks to You Tube for the video!
