MAX Bus Rapid Transit Construction Open House is Today
October 3, 2012 8:07 AM The City of Fort Collins is building the Front Range’s first Bus Rapid Transit system, known as MAX. 
The construction projects include the roadway/guideway, 13 MAX stations, new the South Transit Center, an underpass at Troutman, Transfort Maintenance Facility expansion and an overpass at the Spring Creek Station.
Construction will take place along the entire corridor simultaneously in an effort to expedite construction and decrease the time of impact to the public. Full closures will be minimized. Most often, lane reductions will take place to assure vehicles, bicycles and pedestrians move through the area, east and west, and have access to nearby businesses. Traffic detours and accesses will be identified.
