It's time to release your inner beast and nail down that first Iron Butt ride.  I have done 4 over the last couple years and have heard many say they would love to try an Iron Butt ride just so they can say they have done one and earned the title of an "Extreme Rider."  So, if your game, saddle up and let's get as many going as possible and maybe we will set a record in the process while doing the "In-State SS1000"

I have done every Iron Butt ride as a solo ride but this will probably be my last IB ride and would like to do it with a large group of friends.

Who knows, perhaps we will set a record for most riders on a single Iron Butt ride! In fact, let's do just that: Set a record!

This ride will leave Greeley at 8PM, on a Friday, either the first weekend in July or August depending on response and will take place entirely on the Eastern plains.  You can probably do this ride for about $100 and I will personally make sure every rider who comes along has all the necessary paperwork and witness forms to make sure your ride is certified.

Here is the ride route:

  • Hwy 34 from Greeley to I-76
  • I-76 East to Julesburg
  • Hwy 385 South through Burlington to Cheyenne Wells
  • Hwy 40 East to Kit Carson
  • Hwy 287 South to Eads
  • Hwy 96 East back to Hwy 385
  • Hwy 385 South to Granada
  • Hwy 50 West to Lamar
  • Hwy 385/287 South to Springfield
  • Hwy 160 West to Trinidad
  • Hwy 350 Northeast to La Junta
  • Hwy 10 to Walsenburg
  • I-25 North to Colorado Springs
  • Hwy 24 East to Limon
  • Hwy 40/287 West through Watkins and onto E-470
  • E-470 West to I-25
  • I-25 North to Loveland/END RIDE

So what do you say?  You game?  1036 miles in 24 hours or less!  {1052 back to Greeley}

If you want to give it a try send me an email {charley@k99.com} and let me know.  The date of this run will be determined by response to what is better: Early July or August.
