Windsor Remembers John Jacoby Saturday With Johnny’s Community Run [VIDEO]
This Saturday in Windsor, all around Windsor Lake, you will feel the spirit of the town's Ambassador of Happiness John Jacoby. John may be gone but his heart and kindness will be remembered and felt all around town as we honor him with Johnny's Community Walk. There is nothing John would have liked more than for his friends to gather and walk or run around the lake while raising money for causes he believed in. We sure missed John during this years 28 Hours of Hope but his presence was felt throughout the event. We raised over $122,000 this year and I know John would have been very involved and very pleased. We can add to that total in his name on Saturday.
Saturday, April 23rd at 9 am the first annual “Johnny’s Community Walk” will take place around Windsor Lake. It will be a 5K run/walk with the money raised going to our 28 Hours of Hope, the Johnny Jacoby Scholarship Fund for Windsor High School students and Athletes in Tandem, all in John’s name.
This is great chance to keep the spirit of giving alive in our community. A community that meant the world to Johnny as he did to us. Please be a part of this great event in the memory of wonderful human being. You can get details by clicking the link here for all the information.
I recently sat down with John's brother Mark to talk about the event. Check it out here.
