When Was the Last Time the CSU Rams Were This Good?
It has been an exciting season to be a Colorado State University Rams football fan, or a player too. The Rams have been playing better in the 2024 season than in previous years.
Currently, the Colorado State Rams have won seven games and only lost four. The last time the Colorado State Rams had a winning season was in 2017 with seven wins and six losses. There is still another game left in the regular season and they are eligible to play in a bowl game this year. Speaking of bowl games, CSU has not been eligible to play in one since 2017 under the direction of Head Coach, Mike Bobo.
Colorado State's Best Seasons in the Past 25 Years
Since 1999, the Colorado State Rams have only been able to clinch a double-digit winning season three times and only one of those seasons led to a bowl game victory. These are the best seasons that the Colorado Rams football team has had in the past 25 years.
2014 - The Colorado State Rams had a win/loss record of 10 to 3. While the CSU Rams played well all season long, they could not pull off a bowl game win at the Las Vegas Bowl and lost to Utah 23 to 10.

2002 - Another double-digit winning season for the Colorado State Rams happened during this season under Sonny Lubick. Sadly, this is another season that ended in a bowl game loss at the Liberty Bowl when Texas Christian beat the Rams 17 to 3.
2000 - This is the season where the Colorado State Rams had the best season in the past 25 years. Winning 10 games, losing only two. Coached by the legendary Sonny Lubick, the Colorado State Rams defeated Louisville 22 to 17 in the Liberty Bowl.
All of the fans for Colorado State football are hopeful that the Rams can once again pull off another bowl game win this season. We could certainly use the good vibes and winning spirit in Northern Colorado this season.
