Trench Collapses in Windsor Trapping 2 Workers

Two construction workers are currently trapped in a 15-foot deep trench in a new construction area located in Northwest Windsor.

UPDATE: Sources confirmed that both men have died.

Windsor-Severance Fire Rescue Chief Kris Kaizen said that emergency responders are able to communicate with one of the victims, but not the other. The trench that collapsed is located near Whiteley and Camberly in a new home construction area. Crews have been on the scene working to get the two workers our since about 2:20 p.m. and they could be hours away from the trapped men. Thirty responders from Windsor-Severance Fire Rescue, Poudre Fire Authority, Loveland Fire Rescue, and Town of Windsor are working to rescue the men.
