According to KDVR, there are five Colorado counties that rank the worst when it comes to speeding in the state. Data compiled in 2024 shows the counties that issued the most citations for speeding. These are the counties that have the most speeding tickets in Colorado.

Colorado Counties That Have the Most Speeding Tickets

Mesa County, Colorado ranked fifth with the most speeding tickets at 684. Fremont County, Colorado was the fourth worst county in Colorado with 727 speeding citations. Jefferson County, Colorado, part of the Denver metro area ranked third with 831 speeding tickets. Douglas County, Colorado is the second worst county for speeding citations with 862 in 2024.

The worst county in Colorado has far and away the most speeding citations issued in 2024. With 2,161 speeding tickets issued in a calendar year, El Paso County, Colorado is the number one county in Colorado for 2024. Douglas, Jefferson, and El Paso counties have been ranked in the top five for speeding tickets in the past four years.
