Driving in Colorado is always an adventure. You never know what you'll see or how things will go when you get into your vehicle. There are many animals you can see when behind the wheel; the weather can be unpredictable, and other drivers may cut you off, slam on their brakes, or run a red light. There is a ton to worry about when driving in Colorado, but one thing you shouldn't have to worry about is the roads. Some states take care of their roads well, and other states have terrible conditions. When it comes to roads in Colorado, are they the worst in the country, or are they not as bad as some think?

According to the study, Rhode Island has the worst roads in America, with Massachusetts being the second worst, and California rounds out the bottom three. Colorado is not home to good roads, but the good news is that they aren't the worst. They don't even rank in the top ten worst roads in the country. Colorado does have the twelfth-worst roads in America, though. According to the study, 18.5% of Colorado's roads are in poor condition, 40% are in fair condition, and 41.5% are in good condition. For those curious, the average Colorado driver drives 25.3 miles daily. That is a decent amount on the roads, and when they aren't in good condition, it can take a toll on your tires and put you at risk when driving.
