These Are My Favorite Cutting Board Builds From 2021
A lot of time has been spent in my garage during 2021. In my spare time, I like to build things out of wood and figured I would share my favorite cutting board builds with all of you.
The majority of my cutting boards that I create are chef's quality butcher block style end grain cutting boards. The usual species of woods that I tend to use are domestic hardwoods such as maple, cherry, and walnut.
I have also added an inlay by request to these boards. Check out my favorite cutting board builds of 2021:

How did I get into woodworking?
I have always been a handy person... Cheap too. I find that is more rewarding to complete any given task rather than pay someone to do it for me. Of course, I have my limitations, but every now and then, I will test my boundaries.
When we purchased our home in 2016, we went in search of a dining room table. We couldn't find anything that we remotely liked that fit our budget. So... I asked my wife if I could buy a table saw and build us a table to get us by for a while. From that point on, my woodworking hobby snowballed from there into making more intricate pieces. I thoroughly enjoy the process of making something out of a rough sawn board that ends up as a custom piece of art that has a little bit of my creativity in every part of it.
With the addition of some new boards in my garage in 2021, I can't wait to see what I will end up making in 2022.
