Target has announced that it will be ending one its policies. This policy has been around for 12 years. Many customers will be angry about the policy change. You may not have known this has even existed.

Why Target Is Ending Price-Matching: The Impact on Colorado Shoppers
CBS reports that Target will no longer have a price-matching policy. CBS states that the reason Target is eliminating its price-matching policy is that the company is struggling to boost sales and store traffic.
This is a little confusing to me. Wouldn't promoting price-matching mean more in-store traffic?
What Is Price-Matching and How Did It Benefit Customers?
If you don't know what price-matching is, it works like this. Let's say you, the customer, want to buy a product at Target. If you can find that product at a different store that has a better deal, then you would show that price to a Target employee, and the store would match the price.

Why Did Target End Its Price-Matching Policy?
I have never done this myself, but I would imagine it is great for larger ticket items like a TV, coffee maker, or other things for your home.
Target officially ended the policy on July 28. Customers can now only shop at the prices that Target offers.
