Take a Beer Break at a Northern Colorado Brewery
I scream, you scream, we all scream for BEER! Okay, so it doesn't go exactly like that but what better day, than an 80-degree fall day in Colorado to celebrate some of our breweries.
In Colorado, we are home to four of the top-50 brewing companies in the nation and have more than 230 established breweries that you can tour.
Did you know you can get free beer? Not just today but every day when you take a tour to one of our local breweries.
Taking a tour is the best! One of the first things I did after moving to Northern Colorado was the New Belgium Tour. It's 90-minutes of beer education, beer sampling, and, well, the rest I don't remember. From seeing the bottling room to hearing how New Belgium formed from its humble beginnings in a Fort Collins basement. If you have not taken this tour, it's a MUST, especially for out-of-town visitors.
Odell Brewing is a beautiful brewery, often having a food truck parked just off their patio. Explore anything from 90 Schilling to the Drumroll APA. You can catch a free daily tour at Odell at 12, 1, 2, and 3 p.m. Tours are approximately 30 minutes long.
Anheuser-Busch also offers free tours in Fort Collins. In the end, you get a one, six-ounce pour free. If you have not taken a visit to the Biergarten, attached to the brewery, it's a perfect place to sit back with friends, family, enjoy delicious food. And if the timing is right, you may even get to see the Clydesdales.
