Here’s When Shake Shack Fort Collins Will Open

Fans of a fast casual burger chain have been patiently waiting years for the first location to come to Northern Colorado. Soon, burger lovers won't have to wait any longer for the opening of Shake Shack in Northern Colorado.

Shake Shack Is Coming to Fort Collins

Shake Shack's first Northern Colorado location will open just before the summer months in Fort Collins at 3400 South College Avenue, near the former Sears building.

Shake Shack's first Northern Colorado location will be 3,800 square feet of burger paradise with world-famous burgers, crinkle-cut fries, Angus beef hot dogs, frozen custard, and hand-spun shakes.

Colorado currently has 10 Shake Shack locations, with the closest location to Northern Colorado being in Boulder, which is about an hour away. As of 2026, there are more than 400 Shake Shack locations across 19 countries.

What to Order at Shake Shack

As we all prepare to enjoy the phenomenon known as Shake Shack in Fort Collins, there are a couple of things you should know before you go. Mainly, the most popular items to try if it is your first time at Shake Shack. The Shackburger is the most popular burger on the menu. The crinkle-cut fries are the choice side for a Shackburger, often ordered with cheese sauce. The Chicken Shack is the perfect choice if you are not in the mood for beef, and the 'Shroom burger is the way to go for a vegetarian option.
