When Will Daylight Saving Time End in Colorado This Year?
The weather is beginning to cool off, the days are getting shorter, and many are wondering what is going on with the time change this year. Twice a year, we all dread having to change our clocks, knowing it will affect our sleep for the following week or two. The fall time change is the better of the two, as it offers an extra hour of the weekend and of sleep, but it can still take time to adjust. With news of the time change potentially going away for good, many in Colorado are asking when clocks will change this year, or will they not change at all in 2026?
Are Clocks Changing in Colorado This Year?

If you haven't heard by now, there is a law looking to end clocks being changed twice a year. The new law would keep Daylight Saving Time as the permanent time, giving states more daylight in the evening through the year. There has been some progress in this new law, but there is still a way to go, and not every state is on board. Colorado is one of the states looking to remove the time change, but there are some things stopping it from happening this year. One, time is a factor. It is unlikely anything would be approved before the scheduled change this fall. Two, other states surrounding Colorado need to be on board as well. While Wyoming and Utah are, Kansas, Nebraska, and New Mexico have hit some snags. While Colorado is hopeful to lock clocks on Daylight Saving Time, it doesn't appear it will happen in 2026.
When Does Daylight Saving Time End in Colorado?

While many will be disappointed with the clocks changing again, it is important to not miss it. This year the time change will be happening on Sunday, November 1. This change will be the one when time falls back an hour, giving everyone an extra hour to enjoy their weekend, to sleep, and get used to shorter days. It often takes a week or so to adjust to the time change and the darker evenings. Be prepared to drive home in the dark going forward. The good news is that many phones, watches, and computers automatically change for you, but make sure to change all your clocks, vehicles, and devices that do not do so on their own.
