Shake Shack opening first Northern Colorado location in 2026

Many Northern Colorado residents have been asking for certain restaurants for years, and it looks like some of these establishments are listening to what us residents have to say.

For nearly 21 years, an iconic New York-based fast casual restaurant that serves gourmet burgers has been on the wishlist of many here in Colorado. Thankfully, cities such as Denver and Boulder have opened up locations, but what about us who live in Fort Collins, Greeley, and Loveland?

Shake Shack announces Fort Collins location at Foothills Mall

Well, your prayers have been answered as Shake Shack has announced that it will be opening its first location in Northern Colorado. According to BizWest, Shake Shack will soon have its first location in the Foothills Mall in Fort Collins.

I have always wanted to have a burger at Shake Shack. However, for one reason or another, every time we are close by, we are not able to go. The news of a new location in Northern Colorado will make it virtually impossible not to go, I have a feeling.

With nine options of burgers that are always on the menu, including vegetarian burgers, and numerous seasonal or special edition burgers, there will be something for everyone. That's only the burger section, too. Shake Shack also offers chicken sandwiches, hot dogs, a wide variety of fries, and onion rings.

Considering that "Shake" is the first word in the burger chain's name, they certainly do have the shakes to back up the name. Looking at the menu, I see that there are currently 11 different options for shakes. Being that I am currently on a Dubai Chocolate Bar kick, there is even one for us pistachio lovers on the menu.

When will the Fort Collins Shake Shack open?

While the opening date for the first Shake Shack location in Fort Collins isn't expected until spring of 2026, it certainly gives those who are yearning for a Shake Shake in Northern Colorado, but choose not to venture out into the Denver Metro Area, something to look forward to.
